In 2019, Stanton-on-the-Wolds Golf Club won the Championship Venue of the Year Award, presented at the Royal Lancaster, London, after successfully hosting the English Seniors County Finals in 2018. Effusive congratulations were received from none other than Tyrrell Hatton. The six-time champion on the DP World Tour was a regular at England Golf championships as an amateur, and he said: “I know the golf clubs all go above and beyond to make it a fantastic experience for the players. So massive congratulations to Stanton for winning this award, you guys must have been fantastic!”

He's right! This type of outstanding success can only be made possible by the superb efforts of all concerned - the Office Staff, the Greenstaff Team, the Catering and Bar Staff Teams, the Members in general, and the Volunteers in particular. As the 2019 Captains observed in their first eNewsletter "It just shows what can be achieved when everybody pulls together to make something of great worth happen. A superb effort by all concerned."
